11 to 18 April: Val Formazza or happiness in mountain...

After falling in love at first sight in January, I was excited to come back and explore the hights surrouding Val Devero plateau and all its lakes.

We started from swiss enclave, a hidden valley called Binntal. Here we are in Haut Valais and this unspoilled valley, both austere and beautiful, is locally well known for his high quality minerals.

From the village, we did a 5 days round trip: we traversed to Crampiolo in Italy, to taste the generous meals made by Fiorella! Then we went to Margaroli and Mores huts. Then we skied back to Switzerland, to Binntal Hütte; a nice unstaffed hut but very comfortable. On all this tour, we met few people, et we skied good spring snow (3 days were even very good!); it's amazing how the massive is dedicated to touring... I will come back again, that's for sure!

11 au 18 Avril: Val Formazza ou le bonheur en montagne!

Après mon coup de foudre en Janvier en découvrant le Val Devero, je reviens tout excité à l'idée de faire un tour sur les hauteurs de ce plateau suspendu.

Nous partons donc d'une enclave suisse, la vallée cachée de Binntal. Nous sommes en Haut Valais, et cette vallée peu fréquentée à la fois austère et magnifique, est bien connue localement pour la qualité de ces minéraux.

Du village nous avons effectué une boucle de 5 jours: nous avons ainsi pu basculer sur Crampiolo et goûter la cuisine généreuse de Fiorella! Puis nous avons traversé sur les refuges italiens de Margaroli et Mores, avant de revenir en Suisse, sur la cabane de Binntal; un refuge non gardé mais très confortable. Nous avons rencontré peu de monde et ce massif discret nous a offert de beaux terrains à skier! Je reviendrai, c'est sûr...
