25 April to 2 May: Jackpot in Oberland!

The lonely option this week was to tour very high, because of the predicted summer temperatures... A nice and stable weather allowed us to appreciate this well known place for skitouring, however the huts were packed! But it was fine once people were spread in the moutain...

We ascented three 4000 peaks: two with skis and the last one with crampons and ice axes. For this last one, I called a second guide, living in Interlaken because the final ridge is sharp and you don't have to faff with your crampons! Then 4 people attached on the same rope would be too much. And it was nice to share this ascent with a local guide, very friendly and telling many anecdotes about local peaks and mountaineers. Thank you Werner to help me, and well done my "flatland 's guys" (coming from Belgium)! We achieved a classical tour, without any false note...Volgend jarr!

25 Avril au 2 Mai: Jackpot en Oberland!

Seuls les hauts massifs alpins étaient envisageables cette semaine, dû aux températures estivales annoncées... Une météo parfaite et stable nous ont permis d'apprécier ce haut lieu du ski alpinisme, malgré une affluence record dans les refuges! Mais une fois "dispersés" dans la montagne, la foultitude se fait moins sentir.

Nous avons fait l'ascension de trois 4000. Deux à ski et le troisième à pied: à cette occasion j'ai fait appel à un guide local très sympa car l'arête finale du Mönch ne tolère aucune erreur, et à une cordée de 4 aurait été trop risquée... De plus c'était très enrichissant de partager cette journée avec Werner, un guide plein d'expérience et riche d'anecdotes! Merci à toi et bravo à mes p'ti gens du plat pays, avec lesquels nous avons réalisé un tour classique mais sans fausse note. Volgend jarr!
